PLAYMOBIL Future Planet

Future Planet: Thrilling Futuristic Adventures in the Playroom

Space stations, missions to new galaxies, life on undiscovered planets – who knows exactly what the future might bring? Scientists, film producers and science fiction authors aren't the only ones asking themselves this question – children and PLAYMOBIL designers are equally curious about the future of space travel. With this in mind, PLAYMOBIL's creators have designed the Future Planet theme, with eight new products for thrilling and imaginative space adventures in the playroom.

The year is 2113: The E-Rangers have landed on an unknown planet. To make the planet habitable, the research team in the E-Rangers Headquarters, headed by researcher Jack Genius and botany expert Fiona Flowers, are producing vital oxygen so that humans can live on this new planet. While the headquarters' functioning solar panel will power the central fan, energy crystals are still needed to help the E-Rangers survive. Using the E-Rangers Collectobot, the E-Rangers are extracting these precious energy crystals, which are buried beneath the surface and can be used to power their space station, vehicles, and spacecraft like the E-Rangers Turbojet with Launch Pad.

Unfortunately, the Dark Rangers are trying to steal the energy crystals and the E-rangers' technology. These forces will go head-to-head in the battle for essential resources.

The Dark Boss and Mystery Man are tracking down the E-Rangers in the Dark Rangers' Speed Glider and Dark Rangers' Truck with IR Knockout Cannon. They are trying to steal as many of the valuable energy crystals from the E-Rangers as they can, and take them to the Dark Rangers' Headquarters.

Not only are the energy crystals critical to the mission, but they are also crucial for children's playtime fun, as they provide the power that makes this futuristic world come to life. As soon as the energy crystals click into the modules and light up, the electronic functions of the vehicles, spacecraft and knockout cannons are activated. These knockout cannons and the remote controls included in the vehicle sets are activated by an infrared signal. When triggered by a direct hit from an opposing knockout cannon, the vehicle's remote control is disabled for several seconds. The same thing happens if one of the vehicle's collision sensors is hit by another vehicle.

Following the success of the technology-packed Top Agents sets in 2011, the new Future Planet playworld is also full of cool tools and tricks for innovative play. Older boys aged seven and above will be stunned at the power of the eight new products for the PLAYMOBIL Future Planet.
